Art Party
Our 2010 Art Party date is October 2!
Registration begins May 1.
Watch for more details as they unfold.
Here are the details from last year.
It will be an all day art retreat with three terrific workshops, goodie bags, give-a-ways, optional swaps, food treats and vendor night. We couldn’t be any happier with the location for the retreat – ArtWorks in downtown Edmonds.
Registration is limited to the first 60 people to sign up. The cost is $145. If you are interested in being a vendor (which is no additional cost to art party attendees), please fill out the vendor form and include when you mail in your registration form.
We will continue to update this page with photos, links and late-breaking news.
The three workshops are:
Charm Bracelet
You’ll create your official Art Party charm bracelet with vintage beads and findings, semi-precious gems, pearls, found objects such as tax tokens, locker key tags, tree light bulbs, chandelier crystals and oodles more.
Your kit will include a sterling silver chain bracelet and all the necessary findings. You’ll learn how to punch holes, stamp and texture metal, work with mica and lots of wire wrapping skills.
For the advanced jewelry makers, we’ll throw in some extra twists and turns. For those new to jewelry making, never fear – you’ll be able to create a masterpiece. One of your charms will be a limited edition and dated Salvage Studio Art Party creation – sure to be the talk of the town!
Tools to bring: chain or needle nose pliers, round nose pliers, flat nose (or a second pair of needle nose) pliers and wire cutters.
Junque Journal

We’ll stitch up a beautiful mixed-media journal using a repurposed hardback book, pressboard folders, fabric scraps and vintage papers.
Use yours to jot down your daily thoughts or collect favorite quotations, photos or recipes.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring along an assortment of embellishments…buttons, photos, ribbons, charms, embroidery thread.
Tools to bring: scissors, x-acto knife, cutting mat, pencil, ruler, fabric glue
We will use fine fabrics like silk saris to create fabric yo-yos of varying sizes; embellish with some easy peasy embroidery stitches and then bundle together with a vintage button or two to create a stylish and colorful piece of wearable art.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring along a special button or two to add your own personal touch.
Tools to bring: fabric scissors, glasses for fine, up close work, an assortment of hand sewing needles, needle threader if you need one.
